Interviews take place: March 19 - 23, 2018
Job Offer / Position Awarded: March 26, 2018
 
Job Goals:  Enthusiastically motivate and encourage students
to be involved in ALL of our extra-curricular athletic programs.
 
Oversee all athletic programs in their entirety,
ensure solid participation is taking place.
 
Qualifications:
1. Valid Texas Teacher's certificate
2. Bachelor degree, Masters strongly preferred
3. Successful head coach or coordinator experience
 
Performance Responsibilities
Successful applicant will:
  • Communicate a plan that encourages students to participate in all athletic programs
  • Demonstrate awareness of district and community needs; initiate activities to meet those needs.
  • Work to provide each student with opportunity to participate in extracurricular athletic activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and local requirements.
  • Present a well-developed strength and conditioning plan that promotes the improvement of all athletes and is implemented consistently across all athletic seasons.
  • Present a plan that thoroughly demonstrates how all levels, including junior high and sub-varsity, of each program will be refined through each sport season.
  • Oversee the athletic budget; provide qualified references that vouch for ability to get paperwork accurately completed in a timely fashion.
  • Be equipped with knowledge and genuine interest of all sports to adequately recruit, select, train and supervise all athletic department personnel.
  • Make sound recommendations about personnel placement, assignments, retention, discipline and dismissal.
