Roosevelt ISD will be providing breakfast and lunch to all children under the age of 18 in our community. District staff will be delivering these meals via our normal bus routes beginning March 23, 2020. Two days worth of meals on Mondays, 3 days worth of meals on Wednesdays.
Food deliveries will be made on Monday and Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm and families will come to the bus / vehicle to pick up their meals. Staff will also be available to provide a grab and go breakfast and lunch for all children under the age of 18 at the Roosevelt ISD central office from Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
Buses will be following their normal routes and have a 2 hour delivery window. We ask that you make yourselves available within that time frame if you would like to receive meals. Bus driver will honk when they arrive.
Each child, regardless of age, would come to the bus or central office. A child must be present to obtain the meals, that is a federal requirement of this program. With the bus delivery and providing a nine hour window for pickup at the school, we have taken steps to make this as convenient as possible for as many families as possible—but cannot get around the requirement a child be present for the meals. We will need your help in having your children present at one of these delivery methods.
